Well Hello and good morning to you all;

Seeing as how I'm home from work this week to avoid any excess talking I have decided to spend some quiet time doing some stamping and blogging. Since my surgery on tuesday I have been trying to keep my talking to a minimum. So I was soo glad when Kristina finally posted her colour challenge as I look forward to them every week now. So this week is funky fresh with another Pier 1 inspired room to come down to this funky fresh colour combo.

Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Brilliant Blue, & Pumpkin Pie

Also, I don't have any pumpkin ribbon so I improvised and used my pumpkin cardstock I like the dimension it gives to the card. Happy Birthday anyone??

Kristina's Colour Inspiration #7

Good Evening,

Another week and yet again another colour challenge from Kristina Werner. So this week I have decided to make a unique card it's a 6x6 base with a little flip note section. My word do I love this colour combo, now I'm starting to sound like a broken record as each week I enjoy each colour challenge...Just hoping that maybe I will make the top ten this week. Poor girl has so many samples to view I don't know how she does it. I know I couldn't choose just 10 I like em' all.

So this is the card all done up and then I took a shot with it open so you can see what I did...mmmm chocolate chip don't you just LOVE this colour. Sorry, I'll stop drooling and let you look at my creation :) teehee**

KW~Colour Inspiration Challenge #4

 

Wowee! Another colour challenge from Kristina that I was up to the task for...what a breezy combo to start off the warmer weather that we've been having here in Ontario. Check this out;

Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Taken with Teal, Tempting Turquoise

Isn't she puuuurdy? I honestly don't use Taken with Teal that often but boy does it stand out in a crowd!! I used some pieces from the "Home Again" simply scrappin kit from Stampin' Up! and Baroque Motifs. I can also say that I did get to use all the colours in the challenge too...How COOL!

2nd Attempt at the KW Colour challenge

Well last night or should I say early this morning. I went and attempted to take another shot at this colour challenge...

Might I say that I am pleased with the result...I made a couple 3x3 cards which are nice to use when you are giving a gift bag or small present. So to temp your palette here's the colours one more time!

Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White, Basic Black

Sooo cute! I love using the jumbo eyelets, plus any chance to use my crop-a-dile I jump at it...sooo fun...

WOW! where has the week gone??

Somehow I missed a day this week or wasn't in tune with my blogging routine and I missed the third colour challenge so here is my late entry.

I feel like there's something missing, so I'm on my way back to the drawing board to make y'all some better samples. I think the pumpkin pie is setting me off...or maybe the source of Kristina's inspiration...I should be used to the colours, as I did used to work at Pier 1 after all! Just for good time sake here's a lil peek down memory lane...

Another Colour challenge!!

Morning Ladies and gents;

Today we have another great colour challenge from the ever so talented Kristina.  So I thought I would make an attempt at this great spring colour combo;

Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom, So Saffron

I have always wanted to do a shaker card, but I found it to be too much work so I found a way to make a "cheater shaker card" I saw this idea on Heather's blog she is my super talented "stampin' auntie". Here I used my coluzzle on a chipboard coaster. But I have found other ways to create quick and easy shakers. Try out different and funky shapes too! TIP: Use your leftover chipboard or rubber from die-cut stamp sets to make a super quick and easy shaker card.  Here's my creation fresh from my 'LAB'~Colour Inspiration Challenge #2:

I want to apologize that the lighting isn't the greatest, I didn't have much choice as I am in need of new batteries for my camera and it was too early to reap all the natural light that seaps in through my windows.

The ribbon is dyed using re-inkers, I also used a rub-on phrase on the clear button.

Kristina Werner's Colour Challenge #1

Evening everyone;

Last night I was perusing my "BLOG ROLL" of people I visit daily or bi-daily depending on my inspiration. Kristina is an oober monster talented sweetheart...She even more inspiration to me as she is only 2 weeks older than I. And the fact that the other night I was watching her LIVE chat and my son wakes up wonders into my office, looks at the computer screen and says "Mommy?" all confused. hahaha

So Kristina decided to offer a colour challenge and since Chocolate chip is my favourite accessory(the main floor of my house, my fav shoes, my fav outfit, my fav necklace, my fav SU! colour, oh ya and my eyes and hair). It is also located as a suggested combo in none other than our SU! Spring-Summer 2008 Catalogue. So naturally I had to jump on it!

Her Colour Combo;

Chocolate Chip - Pumpkin Pie - Purely Pomgranate - Pretty in Pink  (can I say AWESOME!!) so try saying that 10X fast.

No she is not mine( I only have boys), she is the daughter of a close childhood friend. She was the flower girl on my wedding day and this was taken during one of our dress fittings. This is a 6x6 page using 'Embrace Life' (one of my current FAVS) and 'One of a Kind'.
